Czech Glass Faceted Beads: 8mm Blue Purple Mermaid Mix (Pack of 10)

These are 8mm Czech glass fire polished beads in a really pretty blue, purple and teal mix with an AB finish that gives them that shifting, iridescent quality - a bit like light catching the surface of the sea, which is probably where the mermaid name comes from.

You get ten beads per pack, and because they are handmade there can be small variations in colour from bead to bead. That is part of the charm rather than a flaw. The faceting catches the light beautifully, so even a simple strung bracelet or a pair of earrings looks like you have put a lot more thought into it than you have.

At 8mm they are a useful size, not so big that they overpower a design but substantial enough to hold their own as a feature bead. They work well for stringing, wirework or bead weaving, and they sit nicely alongside other Czech glass shapes if you are building up a mixed piece. Made by artisan glassworkers in the Czech Republic.
