Czech Glass Hibiscus Flower Bead, Sapphire Blue with Copper Picasso Wash, 21mm

This is a single large Czech glass hibiscus flower bead in a deep, opaque sapphire blue with a warm copper Picasso wash worked over the surface. The Picasso finish settles into the petal details and gives the bead an earthy, almost sun-baked quality that stops it looking flat or plain. At 21mm it is a proper statement piece, the kind of bead you build a design around rather than tuck in between others.

Because these are handmade by artisan glassworkers in the Czech Republic, each one is slightly individual, so the Picasso colouring will vary a little from bead to bead. That is part of what makes them interesting rather than a drawback.

You could use it as a pendant on its own, as a centrepiece on a chunky bracelet, or paired with smaller sapphire or teal beads to let the colour sing. It would also sit beautifully alongside earthy brown or terracotta tones if you want to lean into that Picasso warmth.
