Czech Glass Tribal Bicone Beads, 11mm, Matte Topaz with Turquoise Wash (Pack of 8)

These are lovely little things. Each bead is an 11mm tribal bicone - sometimes called a lantern bead - with a fluted, ridged profile that catches the light in a gentle, textured way. The base colour is a warm matte topaz, and over that sits a turquoise wash that settles into the grooves and gives each bead a slightly aged, earthy character. No two are quite identical, which is part of what makes handmade Czech glass so appealing.

You get eight beads in a pack, which is enough to make a pair of earrings with plenty left over, or to space out along a bracelet design. They work really well alongside other bohemian and tribal-style beads, and the matte finish means they sit quietly in a design without competing with anything around them. The topaz and turquoise together have a natural, almost desert-like quality that suits rustic and vintage-inspired jewellery nicely. Made by artisan glassworkers in the Czech Republic.
