Large Czech Glass Melon Beads: Matte Indigo Blue, Brown Wash (14mm, Pack of 4)

These are large, chunky Czech glass melon beads in a beautiful matte indigo blue with a brown wash that settles into the fluted ridges and gives each bead a lovely rustic, aged quality. At 14mm they have a real presence, and the matte finish keeps the colour soft and wearable rather than flashy.

You get four beads per pack, which makes them ideal as feature beads in a pair of statement earrings, or spaced along a bracelet where you want something with a bit of weight and character. They would also work beautifully as focal points on a necklace, perhaps paired with smaller seed beads or simple rondelles that let the melon shape do the talking.

These are handcrafted by artisan glassworkers in the Czech Republic, and they are not the easiest beads to source in the UK, so they tend to be a favourite with jewellery makers who like something a little different.
